I wanted to start the Jacket a Month (JAM) project with a fairly easy jacket so I picked this pattern and used a fleece combo from my no sew blanket stash.
Needless to say, I didn’t do a muslin because the jacket is over-sized to accommodate a bulky sweater if need be. I measured me, measured the pattern, picked a size for the bust and one for the hips and cut away.
The pattern is pretty easy and went together quickly.
I love the way these buttons match the pattern in the fabric.
I really like how this jacket feels on. It’s soft, warm and cozy. I’ll definitely make another one. Maybe a size smaller. This one is little big on me without a bulky sweater underneath. Still, it’s a great choice for my first jacket in the Jacket a Month challenge.
Next up, I’m thinking suede backed sherpa. This should be interesting. 🙂
Are you participating in the JAM? What was your first jacket?
